School Board Meeting to Stream Live

On Tuesday, January 19, the Frederick County School Board will meet at 6:45 p.m. (Closed Session) / 7:00 p.m. (Public Session) at the FCPS Administration Building. Those who want to attend the meeting must complete the Meeting Registration Form and will be required to wear a face covering throughout the meeting. The meeting will also be made accessible via a live video stream on the FCPS YouTube Channel. Citizen/staff comments will be provided to School Board members at the meeting. The deadline to submit comments is Tuesday, January 19 at 3:00 p.m. Comments will be read at the meeting in accordance with the Board’s citizen/staff comment procedures.

The latest episode of “FCPS Spotlight” highlights how the COVID-19 pandemic has presented many challenges, but thanks to patience, flexibility and resilience, students are still learning. In this video, Gainesboro Elementary School Intervention Resource Teacher/Kindergarten Teacher Danielle Storrs shares some of the challenges and successes associated with teaching an all-virtual kindergarten class. Two of her students also provide their perspectives.
